Langan’s catered for my husband’s 50th and did an amazing job. The hot and cold selection was spot on, great value and plenty to go round, on guest even txt us the day after to say he was enjoying the samosas and dip he’d taken home! I asked for a cake in the theme of a bike event in the Alps and was so pleased with the result. Thanks Langan’s, can’t recommend them enough if you’ve got a party to cater for!
Avoid this place! We stood by the counter. Two guys were there, but neither of them said anything. I asked one of them where we should go. He impolitely said that we should wait to be seated. Fortunately, a young lady came by us and asked if we were ok. She proceeded to get us seated without any fuss. We ordered a pot of tea and followed this with another pot of tea and cake. Our cake (we each had different types of cake) was stale and should not have been served. I left my bag in the premises, but when I went back it was closed. I tried to ring Langan’s the following morning and after 3 attempts the phone was eventually picked up by Scott. I explained that I had left my blue bag there. He said, “has it got trainers inside” and I said no. He then came straight back and said “it’s not here mate”. I explained that I was virtually the last customer to leave the place, so it should be there or it should have been collected by someone. He said, no, the cleaner never picked it up, so it can’t be there. I had to ask him to have a look, which he did reluctantly. Within seconds he’d found my bag on a chair. This chap was very brusque and impolite. He showed zero empathy or for my situation. He even had the nerve to say that I was “aggressive. I subsequently discovered that Langan's is run by a charity, which appears to have been set up to help young people with various problems and issues. Whilst this is a laudable endeavour, Langan's is still a customer facing, hospitality business and people should be treated with due respect and courtesy.
Best Cake in Burton! Great value, good service and amazing freshly cooked - home made style - cakes! Love seeing the cake cabinet and whats on offer. Lovely relaxed place to catch up with friends. The concept of the business is an amazing and inspiring story, thank you and great to support your cause.
Popped in here whilst shopping, the cake was lovely, massive piece. Gorgeous tea cups and little plates. The chips were very nice. The cappuccino was lovely. Really nice place, clean and a lovely building. The staff were friendly, will definitely go back.
This is one of my regular places to go for breakfast, always greeted at the door and seated promptly. Quality food and always happy with service. Highly recommended 👌, have just come back again from Lagans and tried something new, suggested by one of the staff there, eggs benedict with black pudding, all I can say is, you must try this, no extra condiments required, perfectly balanced and full of flavour.
