Nothing 'swanky' about this place. The decor is outdated and dirty. Food was okay but very over priced and the 'draught' lager as stated on the menu is actually out of a warm can of carling whilst charging draught prices (£4.80). Service was the worst i have experienced in any restaurant. Valentines night and the place was cold and empty which should have told us something but we gave it a try anyway due to a last minute decision to eat out. The door doesn't shut properly so the draft from outside was uncomfortable especially given that just eat delivery drivers were constantly in and out next to our table. I went and asked if we could move but apparently it was too busy so we couldn't. It was empty. I was told by the abrupt bar person to put my coat on if it was too cold. In terms of service, no please or thank you, innattentive and rude. We had to ask how to fill out the form which is apparently for ease of service but over complicated in terms of knowing exactly how to order and when. Unsure why they can't just take an order and provide some basic level of service but there we go. It's certainly not that busy where they don't have the time to go to a table and take their order, upsell sides and drinks etc. No wonder it was empty. An absolute insult to good Chinese restaurants and an embarrasment to hospitality in general.
The restaurant was very quiet, but I was eating quite early. A couple of people came in to collect takeaways. I was very impressed by the food, and the service was impeccable and delightful
Such an amazing place, the food was amazing, and the service was above 5*...They went out of their way to make our dining experience one of a kind. We will definitely come back. P.S....Happy Chinese New Year!!!
Edit... having been tonight I was disappointed this time. Service was very slow and food wasnt that good this time. Butterfly king prawns were overcooked and burnt. However I love how they utilised the pineapple after cutting the fruit out. Using it as a bowl for the sweet and sour. Lovely staff. Food is very nice. All you can eat option and also they deliver. I have been to the restaurant a couple of times now. Food is always piping hot.
Was happy with the majority of the food, BUT, the Sweet & Sour King Prawns in batter were not actual King Prawns, they were processed fish-mush, I am not impressed at all!!!
